A Bit About Me

Hello! My name is Ethan Tate, and I’ve been teaching and tutoring for over five years. I’m passionate about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and enjoy learning. I hold a bachelor’s degree in art and am certified to teach general science, physical science, biology, physics, earth/moon science, math, and special education (mild/moderate and severe/profound).

In the classroom, I’ve taught middle school students at Heritage Academy, a dual-immersion English/Spanish school in Oklahoma City. I also create engaging lessons that combine creativity and academics, often bringing art and hands-on projects into science and math to make concepts stick.

As a tutor, I specialize in breaking down complex ideas into simple, clear steps and giving students the tools they need to succeed independently. I know every learner is different, so I tailor my approach to each student’s learning style, goals, and pace. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead, I provide patient guidance and a supportive environment where they can thrive.

Outside of teaching, I’m also an artist and photographer, and I love finding creative ways to connect learning to the real world. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning that lasts.
