2001-2012

Sequoia Charter School

At Sequoia Charter Schools in Mesa, Arizona, I wore many hats—from substitute teacher to middle and high school team lead. I developed and delivered curriculum in subjects like Government, World Religions, Economics, and even Films as History. My leadership roles here gave me a strong foundation in curriculum development, team coordination, and student engagement across a variety of learning levels.

2012-2019

Oklahoma City Public Schools

My time with Oklahoma City Public Schools allowed me to teach a broad spectrum of subjects—including AP History, AVID, Geography, and U.S. History—across multiple grade levels. I also worked as a certified substitute, stepping into various classrooms and maintaining high expectations and continuity in instruction. These years deepened my classroom management skills and expanded my teaching toolkit.

Epic Charter Schools

At Epic Charter Schools, I taught Geography and U.S. History in a flexible online environment that prioritized individualized learning. I adapted engaging content for virtual platforms, helping students connect with social studies in meaningful, real-world ways. It was a great opportunity to blend my expertise in E-Learning with my passion for history.
