Hello, my name is Micheal Bishop – an award-winning educator with over 20 years of teaching experience and a serious passion for making the social sciences understandable, and not something you fall asleep with.

I hold two Bachelor's degrees, one in History and one in Education - Secondary Ed. Both are from Arizona State University. I also have two Master's degrees in Adult Education, both from the University of Central Oklahoma.
With over 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve taught all the disciplines of the Social Sciences from grades seven through to post-secondary courses. I have designed different curricula for all learning needs ( including students with IEP's), and online classes. I also created courses, such as World Religions and Films as History where we examined the social impact and accuracy of history through films. I do hope to teach that class again in the future. After the passage of 0klahoma's citizenship test law, I have a better than 95% pass rate for students who participated in my citizenship test prep classes.

Whether you need help preparing for an AP exam, tackling tough topics in the social sciences, need to pass the Citizenship Test, or want to understand the past in a fun and engaging way, I can help you.
Let me help you achieve your goals.

At Sequoia Charter Schools in Mesa, Arizona, I wore many hats—from substitute teacher to middle and high school team lead. My leadership roles here gave me a strong foundation in curriculum development, team coordination, and student engagement across a variety of learning levels.

These years deepened my classroom management skills and expanded my teaching toolkit.
